I honeymooned in Acadia several years ago during the first week of May. We had full access to everything in the park but be advised that it's still basically very early spring at that time of year. Oh, and nearly EVERYTHING closes at 8pm. So make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get dinner!
It's a wonderful, beautiful place and I hope to return there sometime soon.
