Those 'so-called' cabins sound more like full out houses. In order to enjoy this region of the country I personally would recomend the good old fashioned tent and or lean-to. It is a lot of fun and one gains a better appreciation for their environment that way. So say no to camping in a home away from home, and hello to the true wilderness experience.
